Window Scantlings

Vevers Ltd specializes in the production of Window Scantlings in different sizes, made from FSC™ certified wood using modern manufacturing equipment from Weinig Group and Leadermac. Approximately 95% of the production is dried in modern computer controlled drying-kilns from BascHild, which guarantees an even drying and high quality. All products mentioned below are available as FSC™ certified.

To produce Window Scantlings we use both fixed (FIX) and Finger Jointed (FJ) lamellas without any knots or defects. The humidity of the dried lamellas is 12% (±2%). The tooth-shaped juncture line is visible on the wide side.

Finger Jointed Window Scantlings

Finger Jointed Window Scantlings are made from three Finger Jointed Lamellas. The middle lamella is tangential, whereas the outer lamellas are radial (R/T/R). If the beam is glued from 4 or 5 lamellas, the inner layers are usually all tangential (R/T/T/R or R/T/T/T/R). All layers are completely free of knots or defects. Fixed Window Scantlings

Fixed Window Scantlings are made from fixed length (800mm-3000mm) knot-less lamellas (FIX) without the tooth-shaped lines. The outer lamellas are radial and the inner tangential (R/T/R):
