Vevers Ltd is a family owned wood-working manufacturing enterprise in Latvia (Eastern Europe) that produces high quality pine-tree Glue Laminated Window Scantlings and Construction Beams as well as Theatre Laths, Wood Briquettes, Wood-Chips and other Wood Products.

Approximately 80% of our production is exported throughout Europe as well as to other countries worldwide, including USA and Canada. The remainder of our products is distributed in the local market.

Wood Products

The majority of our products are made from pine and we specialize in producing Glue Laminated Window Scantlings from Finger Jointed (FJ) and Fixed (FIX) Lamellas.  Because we take pride in our woodwork, we pay the keenest attention to quality of materials and production to ensure that the Window Scantlings we supply meet the highest standards.

We also produce supplementary products such as:

• Glue Laminated Construction Beams, which are remarkable for their durability against fluctuations in temperature.
• Durable Theatre Laths
• Wood Briquettes, pressed from sawdust into wooden brick without using any agglutinants (100% natural)
• Wood-Chips, Sawdust and other Wood Products.

95% of the complete production is dried in the computer controlled drying kilns providing the approximate product humidity of 12% (+/-2%). To process the wood, we use equipment from such companies as Weinig Group (Raimann ProfiRip, Dimter Opticut, Grecon Combipact), Leadermac, BacHild and Vecoplan.

Vevers Ltd Development

Vevers Ltd. has almost 17 Years of Experience in the wood-working industry. The company was founded in 1992, initially called Muizaraji, but the name was changed in 2001.

In 2006, we built a new Wood Drying-Kiln and modernized the existing ones with fully automated heating and drying-control system from BascHild. We also acquired new Wood-Chipping equipment and loading machinery.

In 2007, we built another production shop and acquired new Wood Processing equipment from Weinig Group, including:

• Dimter Opticut cross-cutting saw,
• Grecon Combipact Finger Jointing line, and
• Raimann ProfiRip multi-rip saw line.

In 2007, we had a turnover of more than 2,100,000 EUR, making us one of the largest wood-processing companies in the Kurzeme region (west of Latvia).

In the financial year 2008-2009 we increased our turnover by almost 24% reaching 2,600,000 EUR.

Despite Global economical recession and financial crisis in Latvia we have managed to increase our turnover in fiscal year 2009-2010 by 8% reaching 2'800'000 EUR.

In the end of 2008, Vevers Ltd. (SIA) acquired an Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC™) certificate. The Trademark of FSC indicates that the wood used to make the products comes from a forest which is well managed according to strict environmental, social and economic standards. The forest of origin has been independently inspected and evaluated according to the principles and criteria for forest management agreed and approved by the Forest Stewardship Council. FSC is an international, non-profit association whose membership comprises environmental and social groups and progressive forestry and wood retail companies working in partnership to improve forest management worldwide.

In August 2009, we finished another phase in company's development by building another Wood Drying kiln. We believe that this investment will help us to increase our efficiency and quality even more.

In the beginning of 2010, we built an additional production shop with total area of 400m². In the same time we also acquired an additional cross-cut line Dimter Opticut and a wood press from Trimwex.
