Wood Briquettes

One of the wood processing byproducts made by Vevers Ltd. is Wood Briquettes, made from 100% natural pine-wood Sawdust. Wood Briquettes are a high quality, effective fuel with high calorific power. We produce approximately 250 tons of Wood Briquettes monthly. We use two wood briquette presses simultaneously, thus increasing our production stability and reliability.

The average firewood power efficiency using usual furnaces is about 70% but using modern furnaces – about 85%. Using Wood Briquettes in any kind of furnaces the power efficiency is above 90% (data from forestresearch.gov.uk). Due to higher density and the much lower humidity level (approx. 12% ± 2%) the power efficiency and heat capacity (calorific power) of the Wood Briquettes is higher than fire-wood . The less humidity the product contains, the higher heat capacity it has.

One ton of Wood Briquettes with humidity level 10-12% contain approximately 80kg of water.
One ton of fire-wood with humidity level 30-50% contains approximately 250kg of water.

Wood Briquettes is a compact product. It occupies less volume than firewood:

One ton of Wood Briquettes takes up to about 1.2m3
One ton of firewood takes up to about 3.3 m3

Technical Qualities of Wood Briquettes
